Potential batsmen Gujarat Titans might recruit to take Jason Roy’s position

Gujarat Titans are in a pickle after Jason Roy's withdrawal from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season. The team has previously been chastised for some of its mega-auction picks, and now faces the prospect of replacing one of its greatest buys only weeks before the season begins.

Gujarat signed Roy for his base fee of Rs. 2 crore after he reportedly pulled out of the IPL 2022 season due to bio-bubble fatigue. With him out of the picture, the team's possibilities for an opening hitter from outside the United States are limited.

Martin Guptill
The auction cost for the New Zealand opening batter, who went unclaimed in the auction, will be INR 75 lakh. The veteran batsman hasn't always been on fire in the T20 competition, but he is one of the best run-scorers in the game's shortest version. Guptill has the credentials to immediately integrate into the Gujarat Titans team, whether it's because of his offensive style of play or his years of T20 cricket expertise.

Chris Lynn
Lynn was the costliest deal at the last IPL mega auction, which took place in 2018. He is a T20 specialist batter who has terrified bowlers with his aggressive style of play for years. In the scant opportunities he was given, he performed admirably for the Mumbai Indians. Despite the fact that the Australian opener has been unreliable, the Titans may believe he is worth taking a chance on.

Paul Stirling
Stirling may not be the most well-known name in the world of international openers, but he is a decent batsman in the T20 format. He performed admirably in the Pakistan Super League and may be on Gujarat Titans' wish list. Stirling's explosive batting approach may suit Shubman Gill's.

Colin Munro
Colin Munro, an opening batter who can also bat in the middle order, would not only alleviate the Gujarat Titans' opening dilemma, but he would also be a solid support to Matthew Wade and David Miller. Munro may also be asked to bowl a few medium-pace overs if necessary.

James Vince
In the domestic T20 format, England's batter has been outstanding. In the shortest version of the game, he has a total of 6544 runs, although he has yet to play in the Indian Premier League(IPL). He has performed admirably in practically every T20 competition in which he has appeared, and he clearly deserves an opportunity in the IPL.
