IPL 2020: 3 players of Chennai Super Kings who may be popular fantasy picks

3 players of CSK

Ravindra Jadeja
IPL 2020 could see the very best of Ravindra Jadeja if all goes well. He is in the prime of his career, and his excellent knock in last year's 2019 World Cup semi-final stands testimony to the same.

As he can bat, bowl and field with equally good measure, Ravindra Jadeja is a fantasy league delight. Last year, he had a decent time with the ball for Chennai Super Kings, picking up 15 wickets at a 21.60. strike rate.

Ravindra Jadeja has invariably delivered on many occasions when MS Dhoni needed a wicket. Chennai Super Kings will do well to utilize his batting skills in a better way. With Suresh Raina pulled out of the competition, the Ravindra Jadeja could be sent up the order to increase the scoring rate.

Shane Watson
In the Chennai Super Kings set-up, Aussie veteran Shane Watson remains a crucial figure. Shane Watson is incredibly dangerous because he can turn a match on its head in a few minutes, although not as consistent as he was at his peak.

He was struggling for form for a major part of last year’s tournament. But, with a sizzling 96 out of 53 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Shane Watson returned to form. He nearly took Chennai Super Kings home after a quick-fire 50 in the playoffs against Delhi Capitals, with a brilliant 80 in the final match against Mumbai Indians.

Besides that, he was also the hero in the 2018 final, dismantling Sunrisers Hyderabad with an unbeaten 117 out of 57 balls. Watson lifts his match to a different level altogether on the big stage.

Dwayne Bravo
Dwayne Bravo, former West Indian all-rounder is already a legend in the short history of T20 cricket. He's the first bowler to earn the Purple Cap twice in IPL history — 2013 (32 wickets) and 2015 (26 wickets). The feat for Sunrisers Hyderabad has since been matched by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, winning it in consecutive years - 2016 and 2017.

Even after all these years, Dwayne Bravo's variations, particularly the slower balls, make him very difficult to pick. Year after year, he keeps chipping in with vital wickets for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

Dwayne Bravo remains a handy big-hitter, who can bat wherever his side wants him to, apart from his versatile bowling ability. And, he's also a splendid fielder, a “champion” T20 cricketer to the core.
